The choice of the best mattress, therefore, is an absolutely personal matter, and we invite\u00a0 you to dedicate all the time necessary to select this very important support in one of our stores.<\/p>\n The bearing capacity of the mattress in the\u00a0 store can be influenced by s.ome variables, such as:<\/p>\n For all our products we use materials technically defined elastic or resilient, which therefore means they can admit certain tolerances. The\u00a0 occurrence of differences, even minimal, between products tested in stores and the same models delivered at home could happen and is to be\u00a0 considered tolerable. \nPlease note that, being made largely of elastic and resilient materials, even the mattress needs a “running-in” period to adapt itself to the\u00a0 shape of the user\u2019s body. A flattening of the cover and\/or the bearing surface in the most stressed areas (eg. hips and shoulders) are therefore\u00a0 to be considered normal fitment of the product to the person; however, to allow a uniform settlement and keep the ergonomic qualities\u00a0 unaffected, we recommend to follow the instructions of rotation and overturning as indicated in the respective section. Furthermore, any\u00a0 smells coming from the newly purchased mattress can be considered typical of a “new product” and will tend to disappear over time as the\u00a0 product will be used and aerated.<\/p>\n
\nUpholstered products, especially mattresses, being made of elastic materials, are subject to small variations in size if compared to the nominal\u00a0 ones. This is an implicit characteristic of this type of product to such an extent that a specific European Standard (UNI EN 1334) has been set\u00a0 in order to regulate its dimensional variations. In addition, the settling of the padding materials during the use of the product is physiological\u00a0 and shall not be considered a defect; it is therefore necessary to define when, once a well-defined settlement tolerance has been exceeded, we\u00a0 can speak of a subsidence defect. In this regard, to define a tolerance in the attribution of the subsidence defect in the mattresses during use,\u00a0 reference is made to what is defined by the UNI 10707 standard for which the loss in height of the finished mattresses of \u00b1 1cm or 5% is considered compliant of the original height of the product, during their use.<\/p>\n\n
\nWhen you want to change the mattress, we invite you to make a gesture of respect for the environment and solidarity by considering the\u00a0 possibility to give a new life to the old mattress, contacting a local non-profit organization which can find a new use for the product, using it for charity.<\/p>\n
\nOnce decommissioned, the mattress must be handed over to public waste disposal and recycling systems.
